About Tom Goodchild's Moose Factory

This is a BIG restaurant, with 40-foot ceilings and over 20,000 square feet of floor space. Like its sister restaurants in the Sawmill chain, the Moose Factory offers fine dining in an unpretentious atmosphere. Fabulous appetizers include New England clam chowder, and tenderloin strips of alligator with sweet peppers, onion, leeks and brandy peppercorn sauce. But AAA Alberta steak is king here, and there are several cuts and sizes available ranging from 5oz to 16oz. On the other hand, seafood is well prepared too – sit at the sushi bar, or order a Platter for Two, heaped with Brazilian lobster tails, Alaskan king crab, oysters Rockefeller, bacon wrapped scallops, sautéed shrimp and steamed mussels. A grand buffet brings famished professionals on weekdays at lunch, and there are great happy hour deals daily in the lounge, 3:30pm-7pm and 10pm-close.

Never eat here again! Went for dinner on a saturday night! Service was good but that is all! Food came out stone cold, Steak was so seasoned felt like it was breaded. Seafood was not cooked and raw! Expensive meal, where a cold plain pasta cost 20 dollars! Not recommended, stay away!

Well i will never go back and i will tell all you why!
My husband and i have a very busy life every two weeks we go for a date night!
Our food was wrong so wrong it was cold steak was so raw b.p was so cold it was frozen in the middle ! When we complained to our waitress who was a doll she said that the manager would not come to see us that he just wanted our name and somone would call us later!!!! i am sorry never again!!! jb

Brunch at this place rules. The omelette station, sausage, bacon, fruit. Oh, and a desset table adorned with cheesecake, cookies etc. Bring the kids. I would have loved this place as a kid. Hello chocolate fountain. Pineapple, strawberries, lady fingers, dipped in chocolate. The best. I'll be back next week with my inner child.
